Plan B admits his music and film work has left him ‘overstretched’

Ben Drew admits he's losing sleep over hectic schedule

Plan B has admitted he’s “overstretched” himself by taking on acting work alongside his music.

The singer/rapper – real name Ben Drew – has been balancing working on the follow-up to his 2010 album ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’ with making his directorial debut, Ill Manners.

He’s also due to start filming on a new film version of The Sweeney, which will see him star alongside Ray Winstone.

Speaking to The Sun about his hectic schedule, Drew said:

It’s driving me crazy, I have really overstretched myself. I don’t sleep any more.

He continued: “My friend took a picture of me asleep with my eyes open the other day, because I was trying to stay awake but my body couldn’t handle any more.”

Earlier this year, Drew admitted that Winstone had put him under pressure to lose weight for his role as George Carter in the ’70s cop show remake.

Meanwhile, his forthcoming new album ‘The Ballad Of Belmarsh, is set to see him return to his controversial rap roots – a move he has predicted will be hated by the parents of his fans.
