The chart star brings a new flavour to the dance village
Plan B gave Glastonbury one of its most euphoric pop moments today (June 25) as he played to a packed out East Dance tent as the sun continued to scorch down on Worthy Farm.
After a drawn-out introduction as techno played on the adjacent West Dance tent, a sharp-suited Ben Drew got the Dance Village exuberant with live favourites suchas ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ and smash hit She Said’. However, he acknowledged his hip-hop roots by offering extended raps between songs.
Midway through the show, Drew introduced his now-traditional cover of ‘Coming Up Easy’ by singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini.
The Plan B show kicked off a pop-heavy Glastonbury, with chart stars N-Dubz, Kelis and Tinchy Stryder set to follow him over the weekend.
NME will be coming live from Glastonbury throughout the weekend. Head to NME.COM/glastonbury for the latest festival news.
