Police name new person of interest in XXXTentacion’s murder

One suspect, Dedrick Williams, has already been charged with first-degree murder

Police have named a new person of interest in XXXTentacion‘s murder.

The  rapper was shot and killed in Broward County, Florida as he was leaving a motorcycle dealership last week (June 18).

One suspect, 22-year-old Dedrick Williams, has already been arrested and reportedly charged with first-degree murder in the case. Now the Broward County Sheriff’s Office have named another person of interest, as local news station WPLG reports.

Police are searching for 22-year-old Robert Allen, who they believe is connected to XXXTentacion’s murder. Officers said Allen had a prior arrest history in Broward County and was arrested in 2016 on 22 counts of identity fraud.

New details about XXXTentacion’s death emerged this weekend (June 23), with a detective’s soon affidavit revealing Williams and another man followed the rapper into the motorcycle store, before later blocking his exit from the car park with their SUV.

Williams was identified from the bright orange sandals he was seen wearing in CCTV footage. When police sent images from the tapes to patrol units, they found photos of him wearing “the same or similar orange sandals” on his Instagram account.

Meanwhile, a public memorial and open casket viewing is to be held at the BB&T Center in Florida today (June 27). A flyer for the event was posted on the rapper’s official Instagram account, offering fans a chance to say their “final goodbyes”.
