Poly Styrene video ‘Ghoulish’ unveiled on NME Video.com

The single behind the late singer's spoof clip is set to be released on August 7

A new video for late singer Poly Styrene has been unveiled on NME Video.com.

The clip for the track ‘Ghoulish’ is taken from her recent solo album ‘Generation Indigo’. The video was directed by Lauryn Siegel and a release date for the single has been set for August 7.

The former X-Ray Spex singer died of cancer at the age of 53 earlier this year.

The punk icon, real name Marianne Joan Elliott-Said, revealed that she was suffering from the illness in February.

X-Ray Spex formed in 1976 in London and released one studio album, 1978’s ‘Germ Free Adolescents’. Poly went on to have a solo career and her latest solo album, ‘Generation Indigo’, was released in March this year.
