Mid-air drama for Post Malone as tyres blow out on jet bound for Luton airport

The US rapper is believed to be on board with a number of other passengers

A private jet reportedly carrying Post Malone has blown two of its tires and is preparing for an emergency landing, the Associated Press and TMZ report.

Malone, 23, and his team were travelling from Teterboro Airport, New Jersey to London’s Luton Airport on Tuesday when the tyres blew out on the runway.

A representative for the Federal Aviation Administration told Pitchfork that the pilot will attempt to make an emergency landing at Windsor, New York. The plane was originally going to try to land in Westfield, Massachusetts.

According to TMZ, the plane will hover to burn fuel in order to facilitate a safer landing.

It is not clear at the time of writing whether the plane has landed.

NME has reached out to representatives for Post Malone for comment.

In other recent news, Malone may well be pairing up with rapper Mac Miller to release a joint album.

Mac Miller spoke in an interview with Rolling Stone about a recent inspirational jam session he had with Post Malone and Thundercaat which could lead to a full-length project.
