Post Maloneica – see Post Malone hang with Metallica

Could this lead to 2019's most unlikely collab?

Post Malone and Metallica have been hanging out together, after the rapper went to see Metallica’s show in California.

Metallica played the Save Mart Center in Fresno on Sunday, and Post Malone was among the fans. He went to visit Metallica backstage after, and has posted a series of photos on Twitter from the meeting. Lars Ulrich has also posted a photo on Instagram.

Post Malone has previously covered Metallica’s 1991 anthem ‘Nothing Else Matters’ at an acoustic show in February, having also sung along to My Chemical Romance‘s ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ at Emo Nite LA.

Metallica are no strangers to collaborations, having made an entire album with Lou Reed, 2011’s ‘Lulu’.

Metallica resume touring the US in January, before coming to the UK and Ireland in June. They play at Dublin’s Slane Castle on June 8, before playing Manchester Etihad Stadium on June 18 and Twickenham Stadium on June 20. Tickets for these shows can be bought here.

Post Malone will play:
February 14: Dublin 3 Arena
