Fresh material on the way from the "third Fugee", with the prospect of the group getting back together looking more remote than ever...

The “third FUGEE“, Pras, has revealed that he’s working on a new album.

Not wanting to be outdone by fellow hitmakers Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, Pras, who has recently starred in the movies ‘Turn It Up’ and ‘Higher Ed’, is currently working on ‘Eyes On The Pras’, which is titled after a documentary series on the American civil rights movement. ‘Eyes On The Pras’ is the follow-up to 1998’s ‘Ghetto Supastar’.

‘Eyes On The Pras’ is set to feature guest appearances from soul superstar R Kelly, former Snoop Doggy Dogg cohort and ‘Regulate’ hitmaker Warren G,the Houston-based former Geto Boys rapper Scarface and Tha Outlawz. There is no mention of whether another previous collaborator, multi-millionaire New York socialite Donald Trump, will be reprising his guest appearance on ‘Ghetto Superstar’.

Pras – real name Prakazrel Michel – has been on the receiving end of criticism from Wyclef during the latter’s recent interviews to promote the release of his second album, ‘The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II A Book’. In some articles Wyclef has been quoted as saying that he advised Pras not to release ‘Ghetto Supastar’, as he (Wyclef) felt it was a weak album. This, and hints that ‘Clef had a relationship with Lauryn Hill make the prospect of a third Fugees album seem distinctly remote.

‘Eyes On The Pras’ is expected to be released early next year.
