Kanye West has shocked and surprised fans by telling that while he didn’t vote in the recent US Presidential election, he would have liked to have voted for Donald Trump.
The ‘Yeezus’ and ‘Gold Digger’ star, who himself is a favourite to be the next President at the next election in 2020, was performing at his Saint Pablo tour in San Jose when he made the shock revaluation to the crowd.
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?” said Kanye. “But if I would have voted, I would have voted for Trump.”

One fan in the audience revealed that Kanye launched several speeches on the subject throughout the evening, claiming that he ‘loved’ Trump’s debate style, liked how he forced racists to ‘reveal themselves’ and that this was just ‘the beginning’.
He also once again emphasised his desire to become president and said that celebrities are ‘the new philosophers’, and have just as much right and likelihood to hold office as politicians.
Kanye is now saying how he loved Trumps debate style. Kanye is glad Trump inspired racists to reveal themselves. "This is the beginning"

West’s support for Trump comes as surprise given his previous donations to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2015.
It’s likely to only increase the rift between Kanye and Jay Z, after he and wife Beyonce were very vocal in their support of Trump’s rival Hillary Clinton – even performing at a rally concert for her. A feud recently erupted between the former friends and collaborators after West slammed Jay Z for not showing concern after Kim Kardashian’s ‘Armed Robbery’, and claiming that their children had never met. It was also claimed that Jay Z ‘couldn’t stand’ West.
West is expected to announce the UK and European leg of his Saint Pablo tour shortly.
