Pretty Girls Make Graves split up

Seattle band call it a day after drummer quits

Pretty Girls Make Graves have split up after six years.

The Seattle five-piece, named after The Smiths‘ song of the same name, have decided to call it a day after drummer Nick Dewitt quit the band.

A statement on their website reads: “We are sorry to announce that our upcoming tour in May will be our last. Nick quit the band and the rest of us feel like it wouldn’t be right to continue on without him. The five of us feel very lucky to have met and worked with some truly amazing people over the years. Thank you all so much.”

During their career they released three albums – ‘Good Health’, ‘The New Romance’ and ‘Élan Vital’.

The band also played the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in 2004.
