Primal Scream play the hits at Reading

Bobby and co stun the NME/ Radio 1 Tent

Primal Scream played a hits heavy set as they closed the NME/ Radio 1 Tent tonight (August 25) at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival.

Opening with ‘Screamadelica’ classic ‘Moving On Up’, the band also drew from their latest album ‘Riot City Blues’, including recent single ‘Dolls’.

The biggest cheer of the evening though was reserved for the ‘Xtrmntr’ track ‘Swastika Eyes’.


Singer Bobby Gillespie then got the crowd singing with ‘Country Girl’, before the band closed their set with an extended version of ‘Rocks’.
