Primal Scream forced to cancel shows after Bobby Gillespie’s stage fall

Shows in England, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy and Sweden are affected

Primal Scream have announced that they have been forced to cancel several shows in Europe this summer, following Bobby Gillespie’s stage fall last week (June 2) at the Caribana festival, Switzerland.

Gillespie suffered what were thought to be minor back injuries when he slipped from a speaker stack into the crowd 40 minutes into Primal Scream’s show, with it being initially reported that he was set to be quickly released from hospital following the seven-foot fall.

At the time, Primal Scream tweeted: “Thanks to everyone who has asked about Bobby. We’re waiting for more news, but hoping to be back on the road as soon as we get the all clear.”
