The Alexandra Palace bash goes head-to-head with the Chemical Brothers' Millennium Dome shindig...
The 12,500 capacity crowd ‘Resolution 2000’ will witness the rarity of Ian Brown sharing a stage with his ex-Stone Roses partner Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield, now playing bass in Primal Scream.
The Primals, Ian Brown and ADF will all be playing in the 8,000 capacity Great Hall part of Alexandra Palace along with DJ sets from Liam Howlett, James Lavelle, Andrew Weatherall, Luke Slater, Psychonauts and Adrian Sherwood.
In the nearby West Hall, there’ll be DJing from Jon Carter and Steve Lawler, while in the 1,000 capacity third arena, there’ll be music and entertainment from Dogstar, Andy Curley and Sherman.
The event will run from 8pm to 6am and tickets are on sale at £49 from NME‘s 24-hour Virgin Cola Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663. All calls are charged at the national standard rate.
Meanwhile, Chemical Brothers, Justin Robertson and Dave Clarke are the first names to be announced for another New Year’s Eve party at The Chain Store, opposite the Millennium Dome. Described as an “impressive glass superstructure”, the event will hold 2,500 people in the main room, plus two additional rooms.
A full line-up of DJs and promoters will be announced soon.
