'Plectrumelectrum' and 'Art Official Age' are both available to purchase physically and via download from today
Prince has made both his new albums, ‘Plectrumelectrum’ and ‘Art Official Age’ available to stream on Spotify – scroll down to listen.
‘Plectrumelectrum’ is a joint effort with backing band 3rdeyegirl, who the singer has been touring with throughout the year, while ‘Art Official Age’ is a purely solo release.
Both LPs are also available to purchase via download or physical format from today (September 29).
Prince previously announced news of the releases in August, marking his return to former label Warner Bros. His previous split with the label 18 years ago led to the ‘Purple Rain’ singer changing his name to a symbol in an attempt to sabotage his contract.
“Prince is one of just a handful of visionary artists who have truly reshaped and redefined modern music and culture,” said Warner Bros Records Chairman and CEO Cameron Strang in a statement regarding the new releases. “For the past 35 years, he has never stopped evolving, challenging himself, reinventing his sound, and pushing boundaries. In true Prince fashion, he has just given us not one, but two extraordinary albums that express the incredible range and depth of his talent.”
