Prince secretly played on a Mobb Deep and Snoop Dogg track

The star played keys during Mobb Deep's recording session but wasn’t credited

Mobb Deep’s Havoc has revealed that Prince contributed to one of the duo’s tracks.

In a upcoming episode of hip hop podcast Drink Champs, the rapper recalls how Prince ended up on the Snoop Dogg-featuring track ‘Thou Shall Not Kill’, which was released in 2007.

According to Havoc, Prince happened to be in Electric Lady Studios in New York at the same time that Mobb Deep were recording. When Havoc asked for his opinion on a work-in-progress beat, he just started jamming on a keyboard. Naturally, he walked out without even saying bye after he finished.

Havoc kept in Prince’s contribution but didn’t tell anyone about it.

Meanwhile, an archive of Prince’s websites was launched earlier today. The Prince Online Museum is comprised of 12 different official websites that the star launched over two decades.
