Boxer Prince Naseem Hamed embarks on a singing career out of the ring...
PRINCE NASEEM HAMED is to step out of the ring and up to the mic when he launches a solo music career later this year. He is also setting up a record label to help him.
The featherweight world champion will set-up Royalle Records within the next couple of weeks. He will be joined in the venture by his brother and manager Murad Hamed. It was Murad who revealed that his pint-sized, yet rock-hard brother is planning to record his own material for release later in the year.
Murad also revealed in [url=]www.sohh.com, the website of the Hip Hop Daily News, that advice for the would-be impressarios is coming from Puff Daddy, a friend of the pair.
“I was telling Puffy about the company and he’s willing to help if we need him,” he said. “He gave me advice on the label – but I wouldn’t want to give away his secrets ‘cos he spoke from his heart.”
The label will specialize in hip hop, R&B and garage, styles of music Prince Naseem is known to favour and the Hamed brothers are said to be scouting for new talent within the coming weeks.
