Puddle Of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin arrested after drunken row on flight

Scantlin reportedly rowed with onboard staff after they refused to serve him alcohol

Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin was arrested yesterday (September 4) after arguing with staff onboard a flight.

The singer was arrested after the flight he was on, which was bound for Los Angeles, was forced to make an emergency stop in Austin, Texas. At this point, Scantlin was removed from the plane and arrested.

According to TMZ, Scantlin allegedly became angry and got into the verbal altercation after staff refused to serve him alcohol. After the incident, the singer was arrested for public intoxication, but he could also later face federal charges of interfering with a flight crew.

This is the second time in a matter of months that Scantlin has gathered headlines for the wrong reasons after he pleaded guilty to cocaine possession back in June. He is currently undertaking a drug rehabilitation programme as part of the sentence.

The plea stemmed from an incident which took place on January 12 this year, when Scantlin was arrested after being pulled over at 3am in Culver City, California by police for an unknown traffic offence. Police then searched his car and are found a controlled substance.

Puddle Of Mudd most recently released a covers album, which was titled ‘re(disc)overed’. That came out in August 2011 and included covers of AC/DC‘s ‘TNT’, Elton John‘s ‘Rocket Man’, The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Gimme Shelter’, Free‘s ‘All Right Now’ and Stevie Nicks’ ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’.
