SEAN ‘PUFFY’ COMBS has issued a statement expressing his ‘shock’ at his former protegeJAMAL ‘SHYNE’ BARROW ‘s 10 years jail sentence for his part in a night-club shooting.

The Bad Boy Recording supremo issued a statement following Shyne‘s sentence saying: “ Shyne‘s sentence is unfair and extreme as I know he had no intention of hurting anyone. My prayers are with him and his family. I’m shocked by the outcome. I will continue to support Shyne throughout his appeal.”

Shyne has hired a new defence team to appeal against his sentence for shooting and wounding two people. He was convicted on March 16 on charges of first degree assault, gun possession and reckless endangerment following an incident in Club New York in December 1999.

Combs was aquitted in the same trial. He has pledged to support Shyne financially.

Shyne camp have yet to comment.
