He looks likely to appear alongside Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry in 'The Monster's Ball'...

PUFF DADDY is set to join OSCAR-winner BILLY BOB THORNTON and actress HALLE BERRY in a forthcoming prison drama feature film.

The rapper is in talks about taking a part in ‘The Monster’s Ball’, directed by Marc Foster, with filming set to kick off on May 24.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Puffy/P Diddy will take the part of a prisoner who dies in the electric chair, with Thornton and actor Heath Ledger playing the guards who prepare his execution.

Thornton will then fall for Halle Berry, playing Puffy’s widow, unaware of her link to the dead prisoner.

As reported previously on NME.COM, Puffy last year took a minor role in ‘Made’, a film written and directed by Jon ‘Swingers’ Favreau. The film will open later this year.

He is also said to be writing the soundtrack for a new Mark Wahlberg film, ‘The Last Crew’ – a prequel to Abel Ferrara’s 1990 cult hit ‘King Of New York’.
