But it isn't anything to do with the rap mogul's ongoing court case - the accusation has been made by animal rights activists, angry at his use of fur in his clothing line...

SEAN ‘PUFFY’ COMBS has been branded an “accessory to murder” by an animal rights organisation for his use of fur on his clothing range.

People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are launching a poster campaign throughout New York featuring a picture of the rap impresario wearing a fur-lined coated and a picture of a dead skinned animal, under the legend ‘Accessory To Murder’.

The tag-line is a reference to Puffy’s ongoing high-profile trial for weapons possession. His co-defendant Jamal ‘Shyne’ Barrow is accused of attempted murder at the same hearing.

PETA’s controversial campaign was prompted, they claim, to hit back at Puffy, who they say reneged on a promise not to use animal fur on the new range of his clothing line, Sean John fashions.

The group called off their scheduled protest of Combs’ recent fashion show, only to find that nearly 30 items featuring fur were spotlighted in the collection.

PETA have created a dedicated website, [url=], to the campaign.

“Our verdict is in: Puffy is guilty!” reads the front page of the site, which adds: “Puffy Combs pays others to kill and then lies about it.”

Group members have been greeting Combs outside Manhattan Supreme Court as he arrives for his trial each day, bearing ‘Liar’ and ‘Fur Pimp’ signs, with pictures of mutilated animal corpses.

“Puffy has blood on his hands,” said PETA Fur Campaign coordinator RaeLeann Smith in a statement. “The evidence is clear.”
