The rap superstar ditches date at last minute, leaving 10,000 fans disappointed...
Puff Daddy cancelled a gig at London Wembley Arena on Saturday night (April 8) with just hours to spare before he was due on stage.
The rapper, aka Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs, was scheduled to end his European tour at Wembley, but late on the night of Friday April 7 announced the show was cancelled.
Many of the 10,000 ticketholders still turned up at the venue on Saturday unaware that the concert had been scrapped and that Puff had already flown back to the States.
The Sun newspaper reported that on Friday night Puffy held “a wild night” at London’s Rock club where a month’s supply of top quality champagne and cognac were drank and that he partied until 8am on Saturday morning.
Puffy‘s UK press office is claiming the rapper cancelled Wembley because he had to rehearse for a show in Los Angeles.
It’s not yet known if the show will be rescheduled.
Puff Daddy is currently awaiting trial on weapon possession charges following a New Year’s shooting incident in New York. See this week’s NME, out on Wednesday, for a report on the trials and tribulations of Puff Daddy.
