The ex-members of Pulp, Elastica, Black Grape's new direction doesn't go down that well though...

JARVIS COCKER, former HAPPY MONDAYS dancer BEZ, Brit Pack actor SEAN PERTWEE and designer PAM HOGG were amongst the guests last night (September 20) at the debut show of HELP!, a ‘supergroup’ made up of past and present members of ELASTICA, PULP, BLACK GRAPE and MOBY’s band.

Help!, put together by Anthony Genn – the man best known for streaking during Elastica‘s set at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 – were appearing at the Water Rats in London’s King’s Cross. When asked by NME.COM how they enjoyed the showcase, one audience member quipped: “Like a third division Pulp without the charm.”

Cocker and Pulp bandmate Steve Mackey DJ’d at the event, as they will again tomorrow (September 22) at Desperate, a club night of their own to be held at The Fringe on Kennington Lane in south London.
