Maybe that'll explain why it's taken ages for the new Pulp album to come out...

JARVIS COCKER is set to return to his first love of film-making when he directs a documentary about his former PULP bandmate RICHARD HAWLEY in the coming weeks.

Hawley is set to release his self-titled debut solo album on April 23 and Cocker will follow the guitarist in the weeks leading up to and just after the release for a 15-minute short.

Amongst the events Jarvis will chronicle is a launch party at the Henderson Relish factory in both men’s native Sheffield. Cocker is rumoured to be joining Hawley onstage at the event.

The as yet untitled film will be broadcast on UK television this coming summer.
