Josh Homme wants fans to film themselves making out
Queens Of The Stone Age have invited fans to film themselves getting intimate in time for Valentine’s Day.
The band have launched a YouTube Makeout contest, where fans are invited to post clips of themselves getting up close and personal to the strains of their recent single ‘Make It Witchu’.
The hottest footage posted on the YouTube group will win a prize.
Josh Homme told NME.COM: “Valentines Day is coming up, and we wanted to do something cool with ‘Make It Witchu’. So what better thing to do to put that holiday that was created by Hallmark greeting cards and a song about screwing together?”
Homme admitted that while the contest was an excuse to perv at their fans, it was also a novel alternative to sending Valentine’s cards.
“It’s just a cool way to see people making out,” he said, “but if you’re gonna send something, you could send a cards that someone else wrote… or you could send this! We wanna be part of your lovelife, either directly or indirectly. I’ll do anything to get between you and your significant other, for just a moment.”
