Josh Homme gets set to follow in the footsteps of Thom Yorke and Richard Ashcroft...

Queens Of The Stone Age star JOSH HOMME is set to leave his rock roots and record for UNKLE‘s new album.

The last UNKLE album, ‘Psyence Fiction’, was released in 1998 and featured guest vocals from Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke, UNKLE Mike D and Richard Ashcroft.

Now, UNKLE mainman James Lavelle is working on the follow-up, and is in the process of recruiting new singers for the project. NME.COM understands that Homme has met Lavelle, and been given some songs to work on. If all goes well, he will go into a studio at the end of this year and record his part.
