nme.com has all the details of the band's winter jaunt...

Queens Of The Stone Age have announced details of a major UK tour for NOVEMBER, nme.com can exclusively reveal.

The band, who release a new single, ‘The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret’ on August 14, followed by a new album, ‘Rated R’, on August 21, will play a seven date UK tour, which calls at: Belfast Limelight (November 14) Glasgow Garage (16) Manchester University MDH (17) Sheffield Leadmill (18) Nottingham Rock City (19) Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (21) London Astoria (22)

Tickets for the shows are expected to go on sale this Friday, although ticket prices and support bands are yet to be confirmed.

QOTSA are also confirmed to play the Carling Weekend Festivals in Reading and Leeds over the August bank holiday weekend, August 25-28. The band were originally scheduled to headline the Carling Premier Stage, but following a rise in the popularity of the band, they will now play on the second stage at the festival.

In addition, the band also play as the main support to the Foo Fighters at a Carling Weekend warm-up show at the London Stratford Rex on August 24.
