R. Kelly disrupted Gayle King’s CBS interview with his two girlfriends

He tried to stop the interview several times

R. Kelly attempted to stop an interview with his girlfriends who were being asked about the sexual abuse allegations against him.

CBS This Morning host Gayle King, who this week interviewed Kelly separately to his two girlfriends in a two-part programme, said that the singer’s team had promised the news show that Kelly would not be in the room during the interview with his girlfriends.

But, according to King, Kelly entered the room after the interview began and coughed very loudly “so they were aware that he was there.” King also said that Kelly attempted to stop the interview several times.

Azriel Clary, 21 and Jocelyn Savage, 23, together denied allegations that Kelly is abusive and told King that they are in love with the singer. The women’s parents believe that they have been brainwashed by Kelly and are being held against their will.

Clary’s father has claimed that she had underage sex with Kelly, which she denies. The 21-year-old accused her parents of encouraging her to make “sexual videos” with Kelly and then blackmail the musician for money.

In the interview, Clary said: “I’m crying, because you guys don’t know the truth! You guys believe in some fucking facade that our parents are saying.

“This is all fucking*ing lies for money, and if you can’t see that, you’re ignorant and you’re stupid as fuck, because you want to be. All because that’s the world we live in. Negativity sells, gossip is what sells, rumours are what sell.”

Meanwhile, in the interview with Kelly, King questioned him on multiple claims of sexual abuse perpetrated the star. Last month, Kelly was charged with ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse and could face between 30 and 70 years in prison if convicted.

On Wednesday (March 6), Kelly was reportedly taken back into police custody while attending a hearing over unpaid child support to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly.

The star was released on bail last month after being charged with sexually abusing four women. He faces 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse and is awaiting trial.

King, whose interview preceded Kelly being detained, brought up the allegations of unpaid child support in her chat with the star. He responded in the CBS chat by accusing his ex-wife of “destroying my name”.

“How can I pay child support? How?! If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can’t work? How can I work? How can I get paid? How can I take care of my kids? How?”

Additionally, Kelly denied claims that he abused his ex-wife, allegations she made in the Lifetime docuseries Surviving R Kelly.

“I believe I’m telling y’all. I’m telling y’all. I flew in on a helicopter with a damn puppy,” he said. “And I proposed to Drea who I was in love with and told her, ‘Hey, look, I make mistakes. I’m not perfect.’

“We got married. Okay. We had three beautiful kids … Not once have I ever had a domestic violence call at the house and all this that and the other. It never happened.”
