Radiohead announce winner of ‘Daydreaming’ short film contest

The band have chosen one fan-made film to accompany the song

Radiohead have announced the winner of their ‘Daydreaming’ short film contest.

In May, the Oxford group launched a competition to pick a minute-long film to accompany a reworked snippet of ‘Daydreaming’ from their latest album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’.

Earlier this month, the shortlist of finalists was unveiled and today the band revealed the winner.

The winning entry, a trippy 3D-animated clip, comes from Tim Urlacher. Thom Yorke described Urlacher’s creation as “extraordinary” on his personal Twitter.

Since releasing their ninth studio album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, Radiohead have posted artist-created vignettes for each album track to their Instagram account. The latest fan-made film completes the lot.

Last week, Yorke confirmed in an interview that Radiohead are planning to tour again in 2017 and that he has been working on new music with producers Burial and Four Tet.
