Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood to score ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’

The film is out in September

Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has signed on to score the forthcoming film adaptation of We Need To Talk About Kevin.

The band might be gearing up to release new album ‘The King Of Limbs’ on Saturday (February 19), but the guitarist has also found time to confirm his involvement in the movie.

The film, directed by Lynne Ramsey and starring Tilda Swinton and John C Reilly, is an adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s 2003 novel of the same name. It is scheduled to be released in the UK on September 2.


Greenwood also recently wrote the score for Norwegian Wood, the Japanese adaptation of Haruki Murakami‘s 1987 novel. That film is is released in UK cinemas on March 11.

We Need To Talk About Kevin is Greenwood’s fourth major film project. He scored 2003’s Bodysong and composed the music for the multi-Oscar-winning There Will Be Blood, which came out in 2007.
