‘KID A’ – PLAN B

Ha! And you thought 'Kid A' sounded a bit weird anyway...

RADIOHEAD have recorded four tracks, including a radically reworked version of ‘NATIONAL ANTHEM’, for a rare session set for broadcast in little over a week on BBC Radio 1, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

The band recorded ‘Everything In Its Right Place’, ‘How to Disappear Completely’, ‘Idioteque’ and ‘National Anthem’ in their own studios in their hometown of Oxford this week. The tracks will be broadcast, one a night, on Steve Lamacq’s Evening Session show starting on Monday, December 11. Aside from the brass band brought in to rejig ‘National Anthem’, all of the tracks, lifted from this year’s chart-topping ‘Kid A’, are understood to have been to some extent reinterpreted.

In addition, the entire band will be interviewed at length for the show the following week. They will be in conversation with Lamacq on Wednesday December 20, talking about their year and fielding questions, many of which come directly from fans.
