In addition to their Breezeblock performance, the group will belt out a few choice nuggets for Radio 1...

RADIOHEAD have confirmed they will perform a live session for RADIO 1 – in addition to their previously announced DJ mix on MARY ANN HOBBS’ influential BREEZEBLOCK show.

As previously revealed on NME.COM, Radiohead will select a mix of records from their Oxford home and transmit a DJ set live via ISDN to the BBC from midnight on December 11.

From 8pm on the same evening, the band will perform a four-track live session for the station – their first in three years.

As an added treat, Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq will be decamping to Oxford to join the band for an interview in their favourite pub. You can hear this on December 20 from 8pm until midnight.

It is currently unclear what songs will be featured in the session, although sources close to the band have hinted it may include a cover version.

Both the live band session and the DJ session will be streamed via the Radio 1 website [url=]www.bbc.co.uk/radio1.
