Radiohead new album: Making ‘In Rainbows’ was like making ‘Kid A’

Jonny Greenwood speaks about new album

Radiohead have compared the making of new album ’In Rainbows’ to making ‘Kid A’.

Guitarist Johnny Greenwood said that album was difficult to make.

“We spent a long time deciding if [the songs] were good enough,” he explained. “None of them were easy, actually.“

Greenwood compared the making of ’In Rainbows’ to ’Kid A’, telling The Gothamist: ”It was more like earlier ’Kid A’ stuff, more based in studio experiments and trying out ideas and spending quite a long time. That’s what we did with ’Kid A’ and ’Amnesiac’.
