The band confirm massive date on forthcoming tour
Radiohead have confirmed a date on their forthcoming European tour.
The band, who have already confirmed dates in the UK, will follow their appearance at the V Festival (August 19-20) with a show at the Paris Rock en Seine Festival.
This year’s event takes place on August 25 and 26, and will follow the band’s short European tour in May and a North American tour in June.
When tickets for the May shows went on sale demand was huge, leading to a meltdown of the band’s website, and an apology from Thom Yorke.
Writing on the band’s official website, he said: “Sorry about the system meltdown. We were caught by surprise by the volume of traffic. Even though we should technically be able to handle it.. The numbers were far beyond what we expected. So sorry about all the confusion.”
The May dates are at:
Copenhagen KB Hall (May 6-7)
Amsterdam Heineken Hall (9-10)
Blackpool Empress Ballroom (12-13)
Wolverhampton Civic (15-16)
London Hammersmith Apollo (18-19)
Radiohead are currently working on a new album with producer Mark ‘Spike’ Stent’. This week’s issue of NME, out nationwide, contains the latest information on the progress of the record.
