RADIOHEAD have completed two new songs – despite the band not knowing anything about them.
A fan, Pawel Osmolski, has recorded and released two ‘OK Computer’-era tracks on the Internet, ‘Big Ideas (Don’t Get Any)’ and ‘Follow Me Around’, using Thom Yorke’s vocals and guitar and simply adding the other instruments himself.
Speaking to NME.COM, Osmolski said: “I’ve always been a huge fan and I was always interested in their live concerts. So I got hold of some of their bootlegs and listened to the stuff they never really put out. I thought I’d do a little experiment and put all of the other instruments to them. I never intended to upload it all, but my mates told me I should to see what people think and I’ve been really surprised from the feedback I’ve got – it’s really cool.”
The tracks are available to download through the Radiohead fan site [url=]ateaseweb.com and Osmolski is currently working on a version of ‘Big Boots’.
He said: “What I’m doing is providing people with a slightly more enhanced bootleg, built around that live feel. Thom said once that he’d like to see ‘Big Ideas’ performed by someone else. I think Thom might be quite interested in what I’ve done.”
