Radiohead spark album artwork speculation with mysterious image posted online

The band have also announced new tour dates

Radiohead have posted a new image online, what fans are suggesting could be the artwork for their next album.

The band, who are known to be working on a new studio album, announced new live dates earlier today (March 14). See the dates in full here.

Now Radiohead have updated their Facebook page with a new profile picture that displays the band’s name and artwork reminiscent of the work of long-time collaborator Stanley Donwood. See below. The band also used the photo when announcing their new tour dates via Twitter.

Speaking last year, guitarist Jonny Greenwood confirmed that “lots has been recorded” for the album and that Radiohead hoped to tour the record throughout 2016.

Radiohead have announced a world tour, including three UK gigs in London. The band will play three nights at the Roundhouse in London this May. They will also play gigs in Amsterdam and Paris in May with further live shows in New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City confirmed for later in the year.

The band’s three London gigs will all take place at the 3,300 capacity Roundhouse venue in May. Radiohead will also play Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall and Le Zenith in Paris that same month.

Come July and Radiohead will headline Madison Square Garden in New York before crossing to the west coast and playing two gigs at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Finally, in October, Radiohead will travel to Mexico to headline the Palacio De Los Deportes venue.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am this Friday, March 18. In order to minimise secondary ticketing, restrictions will apply and tickets will be limited to two per order.

Paris, Le Zenith (May 23-24)
London, Roundhouse (May 26-28)
New York, Madison Square Garden (July 26-27)
Los Angeles, Shrine Auditorium (August 4, 8)
