RADIOHEAD DEDICATE SONG TO VICTIMS OF TERRORIST STRIKES

Thom Yorke speaks out in Belfast...

RADIOHEAD dedicated a song at their show in BELFAST to those affected by the terrorist strikes in WASHINGTON and NEW YORK last week (September 11).

The group performed at the Belfast Odyssey on Friday evening (September 14) as part of a small European tour that has already visited Germany, Norway and Sweden.

Just prior to the band’s version of the single ‘Street Spirit (Fade Out)’, vocalist Thom Yorke dedicated the song to “any Americans currently trying to get back home”. Many citizens have been unable to fly back to their home country as a result of flight restrictions in and out of the US.

The show was the group’s last in Europe before departing for Japan later this month. The band will play a series of shows in the Far East in late September and early October. A new single, ‘I Might Be Wrong’, is expected on November 5.
