NME.COM gives you the chance to win tickets for the most anticipated shows of the year...
So here it is – your one and only chance to see Radiohead absolutely free in DUBLIN and BELFAST next weekend!
We have two tickets for the opening night of the tour at Dublin Olympia on Friday (May 17) and four for Belfast Waterfront on Sunday, May 19. Because they are in such high demand, we will be sending out single tickets only, so that more of you are in with a shout.
This is the only chance you will get to win tickets for these intimate dates, Radiohead’s first indoor UK and Irish shows for six years.
Tickets for most of the shows sold out completely within hours of being announced on their email list. And despite efforts by the band to stop touts selling tickets at massively inflated prices on the Internet, bids of over £300 for a pair have been made on ebay, making them by far the hottest tickets of the year.
So we’re giving fans the chance to win one absolutely free. To enter, [url=]click here.
The closing date is 12 noon, on Monday (May 12). The winners will be picked at random from all the assembled entries on Monday, and tickets posted out by special delivery. Good luck!
It doesn’t stop there! In next week’s NME we’ll be giving you the chance to win tickets for the final night of the tour, at London Shepherds Bush Empire – make sure you get your copy, on sale in London on Tuesday (May 13) and the rest of the UK on Wednesday.
Radiohead guitarist Ed O’ Brien has been talking about how the band approached the recording of new album ‘Hail To The Thief’, out June 9. He admitted the band “Wanted to relearn the art of putting out shorter songs, keeping it succinct instead of taking the listener on a journey.”
He told Rolling Stone:”On tour in 2001 in America, I think we learned to swagger as a band. We wanted to capture that on record. We also didn’t want to spend too long in the studio.”
