Radiohead have revealed that the title of their new album, ‘KID A’, is a direct reference to human cloning.

According to the unofficial Radiohead website [url=], both vocalist Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood were on the official Radiohead messageboard last night (July 31) talking to fans about the new record.

When asked about the influence behind the new album title, Yorke said ‘Kid A’ was: “Dedicated to the first human clone…I bet it has already happened”.

Greenwood also played down Internet rumours that the album title had been inspired by the Carl Steadman novel ‘Kid A In Alphabet Street’.

Radiohead release ‘Kid A’ on October 2 through Parlophone.
