The in-demand British rockers follow up their sold-out summer dates with another jaunt later in the year...
Radiohead are planning further dates in Europe this Autumn to follow June and July’s already oversubscribed tour, according to reports from the US.
The only dates named so far, claims Billboard magazine’s website [url=]www.billboard.com, are two nights at the Stade De France in Paris on September 19 and 20. The shows will apparently be staged in a giant circus big-top style tent. The site also claims similar two-night stands will follow in Brussels and in Nijmegen in Holland.
However a spokesperson for Radiohead could not confirm the dates. “They are planning something for the autumn but nothing has been confirmed just now,” he said.
The news of the tour goes some way to cement belief that the band’s long-awaited fourth album will, as previously reported on nme.com, appear by the year’s end. The band are currently mixing and working through tracklisting for the follow-up to 1997’s ‘OK Computer’ with long-time producer Nigel Godrich between rehearsals for their tour, which kicks off in Arles on June 13.
Fans can still buy a limited number of tickets for most of the 16 shows on the tour only on the band’s website, [url=]www.radiohead.com, except for Radiohead‘s British return on July 1 at Scott Walker’s Meltdown at the Royal Festival Hall.
