Ramones‘s cover of the LOUIS ARMSTRONG classic ‘WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD’ will be released in the US early next year, the first track to be lifted from his posthumous solo album ‘DON’T YOU WORRY ABOUT ME’.

A spokesperson for the late punk icon’s estate told NME.COM that there no plans to release the song as a single in the UK, despite earlier signs that it might make an appearance as a Christmas release.

The album will be released in the US on February 19 through Sanctuary Records, BIllboard reports, and appear a day earlier in the UK.

Ramones had been working on the album for several years prior to his April 15 death. It was completed three months before he lost his battle with lymphatic cancer.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the album also contains a cover of The Stooges’ ‘1969’.
