Razorlight will release their debut album ’UP ALL NIGHT’ in the US next month.
The band will drop the record on Universal October 26, and follow it up with a tour supporting Jimmy Eat World.
“[We release the album] one week before we come over to tour,” guitarist Björn Ågren told NME.COM. “We’re playing with Jimmy Eat World and [doing] a couple of shows on our own.”
Ågren said last week’s concert stops in New York and Los Angeles were to get Razorlight’s feet wet for their November return.
“This [stint] was just like getting a feel for things and going out and playing to people,” he said. “You can get really poncey and go, ‘At home, everyone knows the songs. I can’t do a gig without the response,’ or you can just see it as, you’re doing smaller shows again, but you know you can play a 2000 seater and do it really well. Then you’ve got the confidence that you can just go out there and try and turn people on.”
Razorlight kick off the sold out NME Rock ‘n’ Roll Riot Tour tomorrow (September 28) at Keele University.
