After appearing at Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds, the band keep on playing...

Razorlight surprised fans at an acoustic gig in WINCHESTER last night(August 30), when two members took to the stage for an impromptu performance.

Singer Johnny Borrell and drummer Andy Burrows took to the stage at ‘Roots Night’ at the Railway Inn to tear through tracks from their debut album ‘Up All Night’.

In front of an intimate crowd of less than one hundred, the duo kicked off with ‘Golden Touch’, before launching into ‘Stumble And Fall’. The brief performance was rounded off by ‘In The City’.

Railway Inn promoter Ben Ward said: “Roots Night is always a popular evening here at the Railway, but this really was something else. I’ll certainly be working overtime to see if we can persuade them to return with the whole band to play live at the Railway in the near future!”

The pair were in Burrow’s home town of Winchester for a quick rest from their busy touring schedule, which saw Razorlight play last weekend’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals (August 27-29).

Razorlight release their next single ‘Vice’ on September 13.
