Johnny Borrell talks about having their biggest hit with ’Somewhere Else’…

Razorlight are celebrating their highest ever chart position today (April 18).

The band, who are currently touring America with Muse, saw themselves enter the UK single’s chart at Number Two yesterday with ‘Somewhere Else’.

It was the first week that the singles chart allowed downloads to be counted towards chart placing and although charity record Tony Christie’s ’(Is This The Way To) Amarillo’ kept them from the top, Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell told NME.COM he’s happy with his band’s success.

“People like the song and that’s great,” he declared. “That’s the only thing you can say when it comes down to it. So we’re kept off Number One by a novelty record, it still means a lot of people are liking your stuff and I’m glad.”

Razorlight now plan to start work on their second album following their current tour.
