More details about the singer's role emerge
Johnny Borrell will play an Irish murder victim in the forthcoming Irvine Welsh film ‘The Meat Trade’.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Borrell will act in the British film alongside Colin Farrell and Robert Carlyle.
Since then further details of the singer’s role have emerged, with the Razorlight man explaining that he will play the part of a poor Irish singer who is murdered by two graverobbing brothers.
Borrell‘s love interest in the film will be played by Samantha Morton.
He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “It’s going to be so much fun. I love horror and I’m a really big fan of Irvine Welsh’s work. I loved ‘Trainspotting’.”
