Puzzle poppers echo Arctic Monkeys' Carling Weekend: Reading Festival debut

Foals packed out the tent they were playing at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival this afternoon (August 25).

Playing new talent arena the Carling Stage, the crowd spilled out ten rows deep into sunshine as festival goers struggled to see the band.

Inside the puzzle poppers were making the most squash whipping the crowd into a frenzy.

Having recently featured in a house party episode of Channel 4 teen drama ’Skins’, the band recreated those chaotic scenes with wave upon wave of crowd surfers floating to the front, while fans danced around swing their arms freely in the air.

While not quite repeating the crush Arctic Monkeys saw when they played the tent two years ago, the band certainly made a strong for a bigger slot next year with an assured, energtic party set.

Foals played:

‘French Open’

‘Heavy Water’

‘Red Sox Pugie’

‘Two Steps twice’
