Enter Shikari nearly ruin Carling Weekend: Reading Festival slot

Band admit hangover nearly stopped their set

Enter Shikari admitted they almost ruined their Carling Weekend: Reading Festival set today (August 24) by getting too drunk.

The band played on the NME/Radio 1 Stage, but said that they’d over indulged at an awards ceremony the night before, which nearly knocked them for six.

“We’ve done loads of festivals this summer, and I thought this would be the highlight,” said singer Rou Reynold in an NME.COM video interview. “But we’re so hungover now but whether we can do it is another question.”

Fortunately the band did pull it together for a blinding set, but watch their nervous preparation this morning in the video interview below.
