Another chance to go to the summer event
Extra tickets for the Carling Weekend: Leeds festival have become available.
Due to an increase in capacity for the summer event from 57,000 to 70,000, a small amount of weekend passes are to go on sale.
According to a statement from festival organisers Mean Fiddler: “This morning, the Licensing Panel of Leeds City Council have granted an increase in capacity to 70,000 including guests, for Carling Weekend: Leeds festival and as a result of that, Leeds festival organisers are to release an additional amount of weekend and day tickets.”
They explained: “The vast majority of those tickets are already spoken for, with the waiting list that was set up following the unprecedented sell out of tickets on April 3. The people on the waiting list will need to respond to an email being sent by Mean Fiddler, by 9am on Tuesday (May 2), in order to take advantage of the reserved allocation.”
Any unclaimed reserved tickets will then go on release at 9am on Tuesday morning (May 2).
This year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals will be headlined by Franz Ferdinand, Muse and Pearl Jam with bands including Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, The Raconteurs and Dirty Pretty Things all confirmed for the bill.
