No Rage for ‘The Mighty Boosh’

US veterans are only playing Reading And Leeds

Rage Against The Machine are not teaming up with The Mighty Boosh, despite newspaper reports.

According to a British tabloid this morning (May 28) the US band had apparently “confirmed they want a piece of the psychedelic action”, implying they would be performing at the comedy outfit’s festival on July 5.

However the band are headlining the Reading And Leeds Festivals on August 22-24, and organisers insist they’ll only be playing their event.

“It’s not true,” a spokesperson told NME.COM. “The only English performances are at the Reading And Leeds Festivals.”

The Mighty Boosh have, however, signed up The Charlatans and Gary Numan for their festival, which takes place on July 5 at Hop Farm in Kent.

The comedy troupe have also formed their own band which will headline the event.
