Rebecca Black announces new single ‘My Moment’

Follow-up to 'Friday' is set to come out next Monday (July 18)

Rebecca Black has announced details of her next single, ‘My Moment’, which will be released on July 18.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the singer is also putting the finishing touches to a new five song EP.

The track is set to debut on the singer’s YouTube channel on July 18 at 8pm.

The song was written by Brandon ‘Blue’ Hamilton, whose has written a track for Justin Bieber’s‘Never Say Never: The Remixes’ and Quinton Tolbert. It was produced by Charlton Pettus was has worked with Hilary Duff.


According to a statement, its accompanying video features footage of Black receiving an award at her junior high school and attending red carpet premieres to “tell the story of her sudden rise to fame. It’s a fairytale story, but it happened in real life.”

Black is also putting the finishing touches on a five-track EP, which she will self-release in August.

The singer recently made a cameo in Katy Perry‘s ‘Last Friday Night (TGIF)’ video.
