Tickets for theRED HOT CHILI PEPPERS‘s summer shows sold out in just four hours on Saturday (January 24).
Fans eager to see the funk-rock veterans snapped up 200,000 tickets in record time for the band’s open air shows in Manchester, Edinburgh and two in London’s Hyde Park.
Concert promoters for the UK tour are currently looking into the possibility of adding further shows in the near future.
As previously reported on NME.COM, lead singer Anthony Kiedis said: “We’re really looking forward to getting back to the UK. We had a great time performing there last summer. The British fans are fantastic, so its going to be amazing to perform in front of such a massive crowd in Hyde Park…The Queen’s backyard! And it’ll be good to play the stadiums when we return to Manchester and Edinburgh.”
