RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS‘ first four albums are to be remastered and reissued with bonus tracks next year.
‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’, ‘Freaky Styley’, ‘The Uplift Mofo Party Plan’ and ‘Mothers’ Milk’ are released by EMI on March 10.
The band’s self-titled debut from 1984 contains five bonus tracks – ‘Get Up And Jump’ (demo), ‘Police Helicopter’ (demo), ‘Out In LA’ (demo), ‘Green Heaven’ (demo) and ‘What Is It (AKA Nina’s Song’.
The bonus tracks on 1985’s ‘Freaky Styley’ are ‘Nevermind’ (demo), ‘Sex Rap’ (demo) and ‘Freaky Styley’ (original long version).
‘Uplift..’, originally released in 1987, contains two previously unreleased demos, ‘Behind The Sun’ and ‘Me And My Friends’.
‘Mother’s Milk’, from 1989, contains five extra tracks – live covers of Jimi Hendrix‘s ‘Castles In The Sand’ and ‘Crosstown Traffic’ (previously unreleased), a dub mix of “Higher Ground’ the original long version of ‘Knock Me Down’ (previously unreleased) and the demo version of ‘Salute To Kareem’ (previously unreleased).
